What is Affective Computation?

Affective Computation is a computer system capable of detecting the affective state of users. This technology is useful in education because education is an emotional process as much as a cognitive one. Affective Computation technologies can be used to create emotionally deep learning experiences such as simulations and role-playing games, as well as tools like language detection and facial recognition.
