What is Maieutics?
Maieutics is the educational technique used in the Socratic method, in which a student is called on to build knowledge through their own reasoning and self-directed thought. Maieutics prioritizes the intrinsic mental ability of each individual student, rather than outside instruction, and supposes that the truth is hidden within oneself.
