What is Problem-based learning?

Problem-based learning is an educational technique in which a small group of students meet with a tutor to analyze and propose a solution to a real or potentially real problem in their physical and social environment. The objective is not to solve the problem itself, but rather to use it to accomplish learning objectives and develop students’ personal and social skills.
